What is our unique strength?
Where can you get "one-stop shopping" in today's hectic health care world? At NAHCR, that's where. We have the best network out there, member-to-member and also via a quick call to our National Office. With over 50 chapters nationwide you can get "connected" to another member in any region who can help you or find a variety of resources by calling our headquarters.

Educational programs
Among the services offered to our members are a two-day Recruitment and Retention: Core Curriculum workshop designed to give fledgling recruiters and HR professionals the tools to build and enhance a recruitment program. Our annual meeting, held in July, also offers a comprehensive schedule of events and sessions designed to enrich your body of knowledge. For more information about the Association's educational programs and publications, email or contact the NAHCR National Headquarters.

Active Membership:
For professionals who are actively involved in healthcare recruitment, retention and/or human resources processes and employed by organizations providing direct health care such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, home care agencies, HMOs and the military. Active members may vote and are eligible to serve on the NAHCR Board of Directors.

Because the NAHCR Board of Directors is acutely aware of the current economic and budgetary concerns of its members, Active Members who are having problems paying their dues may contact the Executive Office to inquire about the possibility of making payment arrangements.

Associate Membership:
Individuals with an interest in supporting NAHCR activities and in maintaining involvement with the organization. Associate members may serve on committees and benefit from all member services, but they may not vote and are not eligible to serve on the NAHCR Board of Directors. HR representatives, transitional recruiters, HR students, nursing leadership students, professors and educators will be added to the membership application for the Associate membership.

Institutional Membership:
Organization with an interest in promoting and supporting the association’s development. Institutional members receive all association benefit, but are not eligible to vote or hold office.

Companies or divisions of companies whose sole business is placing traveling health care professionals are eligible for institutional membership.

Individuals associated with permanent personnel placement agencies (search firms, headhunters) are eligible for institutional membership subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Search firm applicants are responsible for securing a reference from an Active NAHCR Member. Please see Reference Form.
