HireRight’s 2017 Healthcare Spotlight Report found that 83% of respondents expect their workforce to increase in the next year, and 30% project a 6% or greater growth rate. The rapid growth of the healthcare industry offers tremendous opportunities, but comes with significant challenges, in an industry that already faces more challenges than many when finding new candidates. And more candidates mean more risks, but not necessarily the time and resources to prevent them.

Drawing from HireRight’s 2018 Healthcare Spotlight report, to be released in Spring 2018, Mary will identify the top challenges facing healthcare employers, including the large percentage of workers born outside the United States, evolving healthcare and medical sanction lists, the need to verify and re-verify medical licenses, and introducing new hires to sensitive populations.

In “Identifying and Mitigating the Risks of Hiring in Healthcare,” Mary will highlight best practices for recruiting quality employees, and the role background screening plays in both finding the best candidates and mitigating the risks of hiring at a fast pace.

Following the session, attendees will have a full understanding of the specific risks they need to be aware of in the recruiting and hiring process, and how to implement background screening strategies to navigate these issues, as well as finding and retaining quality employees.
